Hi everybody,I have been looking for a red lip stain secret.I have tried crannberry sauce but it hasn't worked. Please help me or give me a web site where I can find some for an inexpensive price.I found some but I am not going to pay 18 bucks for it .Thanks!

Jane makes good red lip gloss in a little pot... And it only costs like, $3. Because I don't like heavy makeup, I usually 'dilute' it with clear flavored lip gloss... the kind that comes in a tin. Those are nice cuz you can scrape out a bit of the clear stuff into the lid, and mix in a tiny bit of the red right in the container, and keep it in your purse mixed.

thanks katey I will see if that works

buy some Wet n Wild dark red lipstick.
put some on your finger or on a lipgloss applier stick thingy if you have one (i do.)
put it on your lips, jsut smear it.
then apply clear lip gloss!!! no problem.

(or you can go to starcrazy.com and get Garbage lip gloss designed by shirley manson, but that'll cost you about 12.95!!! but i love it...)

my rich friend has Agnes B. lipstain, and it's really much nicer than the $3 stuff.

stila makes fabulous lip stain, it's pricy, but lots of times you're paying for really good stuff.

cranberry sauce?!? hmmm...
my favorite stain is benefit's benetint- it's not red, it's pink. but it gives you an insanely angelic appearance.
however, i too also searched for a cheap red (or pink) alternative to my beloved benetint and i came up with a very easy solution. apply red lipstick (preferably a long wearing, matte type- ie, revlon colorstay) in a shade a little darker than what you would ordinarily wear. i usually apply it really thick. then, i blot and blot and blot- basically until it becomes un-rub-off-able.
it leaves a matte stain-virtually a shadow of itself!

p.s. i like to make sure it stays put, so i usually begin with either a foundation or nude lip pencil base.
---enjoy!---

Where does one purchase BeneFit stuff? I got the benetint stuff for a b-day, and it's almost gone, snd I need more and I can't find it anywhere!

go to macy's!!! and while your at the benefit counter, check out their showoffs...its shimmery powder in a little tube. it can be used mixed with lipgloss, as eyeshadow, cheek color, anything! (i even rub a little onto my nails and cover it with a topcoat.)

Hi,

Try beet juice (comes in cans at the grocery store). The more you add the more red you get.

By the way, it costs $0.50... :)

Origins makes this stuff called Pinch Your Cheeks, and even though it's not specifically for lips you can put it on(layer it to make it as dark as you want) and it's really pretty. it's a tiny tube and it's about $10, but i love it. the only thing is that you can't put it on over lipgloss or while your lips are damp or anything. they have to be dry so that it wil stain them. put it on, let it go for a few seconds and then you can put gloss on top if you want. jamie
ps- it's nice for cheeks too :)
