who knew that tiles could work as a dry erase board?!?! i saw these in a gift shop today, and i thought, "hey, i can make that!"

1. get a white tile (as these would work the best so you can see writing)
2. place your image on it (you can get really cool flower tranfers that i saw on home matters)
3. make some sort of easel to stand it up
4. add a dry erase marker

you are set! they are so cute... when i get money i am going to make some.

Wow, that's a great idea! When I get the time, I'll make some too. They would make really nice gifts.

It would be cute if one could add a magnetic strip to the side. That way, the marker could have a magnet attached to the cap, and it wouldn't get detached from the tile. I'm not sure if it would be strong enough. Perhaps a more traditional marker holder would work better.

It would be nice to make a little eraser by sewing together little layers of felt. That would attach to the board, with a magnet, quite easily.

the pens they had at the store had the felt eraser attached to the cap.
