Love fleece - easy to sew and no ravels on the edges. So, how about making: pillows, table runners, curtains or window toppers, socks (I found a pattern through Green Pepper - dumb name but some interesting outdoorsy type sewing patterns), vest, coat (button/zipper front or pullover), tea cozy, hats, headbands, mittens, purse/totebag, poncho....... Geez, I've had way too much caffeine and I spent my lunch hour at the fabric shop looking at patterns so I've got sewing-on-the-brain now! Fleece also makes a nice, stable, thin batting or lining for thing syou want to make with other fabric that might be too delicate or would stretch out too much - I'm thinking about using up some leftover fleece to stabilize and add some oomph to a tote bag by putting it between the outer fabric and the lining. Does that make sense? Anyway - have fun, fleece is fabulous! | |
