i am making hanging paper lights for my new apartment with my roomies. instead of glueing the paper together around the wire frame, i thinking it would be so much nicer looking to stitch it together with some needle and thread. are there any special tricks one uses to sew on paper? special needles or anything like that?

i have used just a regular old sewing machine to sew paper--it worked fine! though i haven't ever used really thin paper, which you might be using for the lights. i'd say just take a little bit and try it (that is, if you have a sewing machine--and i hope you do, because that sounds like a lot of sewing by hand!)....
