Topic plaster of paris... But better? Go to previous topic Go to next topic Go to higher level

Is there a better form of plaster of paris (like cement but not?) I want to make a form and use some type of pouring material that will last (unlike plaster of paris that is not forever)

Any ideas?

I use Hydrocal, which is a very strong plaster type substance, However, it can be hard to find. We had to go and buy a 50 lb bag! But it's definitely worth it.

i second hydrocal. that's what we used in all of my college 3-d and sculpture classes, it's very tough stuff.
