Does anyone know of an online supplier of paillettes-- those flat, shiny disks that you use to ornamet knitting or crochet? I need purple ones-- they have them at Pearl Paint in every color except purple. I thought I might have better luck online, but my searches are fruitless. Does anyone know of any good "notions" suppliers?
Thanks,
Kitty

Here's a link which has some oval pailletes in a "Dark Orchid" shade they're 21 mm, 1.25 for a packet of 100. Hope it helps.

Thanks! The ones they have are for sewing, though-- I need a larger hole for the yarn to go through. The color's right, though, so it's giving me hope, at least.

can you make the hole bigger? you can get small punches at craft/hardware/office supply shops... might be worth your while to try (they seem inexpensive enough..) :)

Oh, I see! Well I suppose you could string your pailletes onto thread, and then knit the yarn and string, or sew them on after the fact, but I will keep my eye out for you, I'm always looking for the obscure stuff that should be so easy to find on the internet, but seems not to be. (:

I went ahead and ordered them. They're so cheap there, and I'm going to try the hole punching trick. Or maybe this can be my excuse to finally buy a dremmel--welcome to Kitty's world-- save $5 on a bag of paillettes, spend $50 on a dremmel!

Thanks again.
