I saw this really great idea for a purse or backpack.Basiclly you take a stuffed animal,find the back seam.using a seam ripper pull it open.take out stuffing.{but not all of it}make a simple bag for a liner ,sew it in .Sew on a zipper ,velcro or snaps to close your purse.Then use ribbon for a handle.I'm sure you could pull off the straps on an old backpack and use those. thought someone would like the idea.

I love it but it's so expensive. I imagine you could just sew or maybe even hot glue a bunch of cheap stuffed animals onto a dress.

Yes, her purses are great. But I have to say I love the dresses best. Next Halloween I am so wearing a candy dress. And armadillo purses? That's cute. I may have to get one of Archie McPhee's stuffed 'dillos so I make one too.
A question though: Should you try and line the inside of the stuffed animal?

One of the crafts majors at college made a jacket out of ripped-apart and reconstucted stuffed animals. It was really kinda' morbid in a PETA sort of way. On the other hand, I guess it would keep you warm.

I used to have the greatest backpack made from a black, cuddly bear-- the straps came from its back. And a weiner dog purse.

i used to carry around a popples backpack in high school. everyone thought i was weird....i think i might still have it in a box somewhere.

Stuffed animal purses sound so cute, but I'd feel like a criminal ripping in to the backs of my furry critters.(They've been around since kindergarden and they all have names.)I guess I'll have to grab one from my lil' sister's room! ;)

Yeah, the animal backpacks freak me out, because when they're hung on a hook the head flops down and it looks like they're dead.

Thrift stores!!!! they always have stuffed animals.
