can you think of anything i could make for a guy kind of quick and with no money? it's my brother's birthday tomorrow and i'm ba-roke. i thought about crocheting something but that just seems wrong. any suggestions?? | |

if you have a family picture or something similar (picture of his car or girlfriend maybe?) you can make a picture frame out of thin cardboard or matte board. cut a solid back, and paint one side of it with acrylic, then cut a frame out of the same material for the front and paint it. paint the edges of the cutout. after the paint is dry, i cover it with a layer of Mod Podge. you can use glitter, metallic pen, stickers, etc. to decorate it. glue the picture with a little rubber cement to the back, and put the frame over it. i use rubber cement to glue it all together, then touch up the edges with paint. since the picture is glued into the frame, you might want to use a duplicate. you could use the same painted cardboard to make a support for the back of the frame, or use thread to make a loop for hanging it. | |
