does anyone know of a company that makes embroidered labels for clothing or other sewn crafts? i've seen lots of companies with the common 'made with love by [fill in the blank]' designs, where you can get your name stamped on.. but is there anywhere where you can submit your own design and name and they make embroidered labels out of it? in seaching the internet, the only places i've found where you can design your own want you to order mass amounts, like 1,000s. but i'm only needing like 50, or maybe 100. thanks for your help!

I would guess, unfortunately, that they have that minimum amount cos otherwise they don't cover their set-up costs - effectively they're making a ribbon with your design on so once they make a certain quantity it hardly costs them anything more to let the machine run more off, but first they have to break even. Bummer.

why don't you make your own? cut out a small piece of fabric and turn under the edges and with embroidery floss and fabric sew in your name or your own design. it may take a while, but it'd be more unique

oh that's a nice idea matilda. thanks for the suggestion, i may try it. i also found out about a label maker that prints designs in ink, and it's inexpensive so i may go that route.
