does anyone know where i can find a shrug? like the kind that look like you are wearing a cardigan, but it's too small (ala fat guy in a little coat)?

i used to have three, but can't find them, and, well...i miss them.

thanks!

I've seen patterns, but not any for sale. Would you want to make one?

If you knit, I can so help you. Otherwise, try thrift stores.

how about those smallish wrap sweaters that ballet dancers wear? anyone want to help me make one of those??

By KattWalk On 04/01/04

maybe you can find one at formal wear stores? I think I remember seeing people wear them to prom and such. but that was 5-6 years ago...i am sure the style has changed.

And I found some at dance wear sites

seems to me it would be easy to cut one out of a felted sweater, maybe? hmm...

there were over 100 hits on ebay for shrugs when i just checked. i saw a victorias secret one for "buy it now" at $6 and an adorable wool/angora one also for $6. i know i have some up in my attic but i'd have to ask my tennants permission to get up there and they probably smell by now anyway!

Knitty has a pattern for one:>http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter03/PATTshimmer.html

thanks, y'all! i just won the bidding on a pink victoria's secret one on e-bay, and it's only going to be like $13 with shipping.

i absolutely love the one on knitty.com, but i've just learned to knit and i can tell that that one is way beyond my skills for now. but i am bookmarking that site, so that when i get better at knitting i can make it.

thanks again!
