I love this artist, and I'd like to do an ocean/aquatic theme, but I'm stumped as to where to go next. I don't want fish nets and things everywhere, and I can't paint.

Right now, I have a cream colored couch and loveseat, light brown/beige carpeting, and vertical blinds for one window. The other large window has sheets for drapes right now, but my mom is going to give me some cream colored linen drapes.

The only thing I have planned right now is a ceramic jellyfish with ribbon tenticles that I'd like to make in ceramics tomorrow. Beyond that, I'm pretty much wide open.

Anyone have any ideas? Want to share your room decorating problems?

I'm seeing blue lamps that sort of glow.

Since most of your background is neutral shades, I would use various shades of blue that complement the painting as accents--throw pillows, rug, lamps, etc.

Okay, you are going to laugh, but I've been getting lots of ideas from prom catalogs lately. I work in a high school, and there are about a million of them around. I've been using the pages for collages, but you might be able to get some ideas.

What about pretty glass trays with candles in different sizes, blue and green, with shells and colored glass surrounding the arrangement? Maybe some vases with interesting looking shells and green and blue glass in them too. An aquarium or fish bowl?

Ooh! Last year the PIC and I threw a tiki party, and one room was the underwater room. We figured out (by accident!) that if you get a blue floodlight, plug it into a short stand and put it in on the floor in a corner, pointing up towards the ceiling, with a martini glass of water in front of it, it looks like you're underwater looking up towards the surface! Subtle, but a beautiful effect. We also went to the dollar store and bought some small glass tropical fish, attached them to various lengths of fishing line and stuck them to the ceiling too.
