If anyone's interested, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be speaking at the University of California, Irvine in April. It's posted on their web at http://www.uci.edu/DalaiLama/ if anyone's interested. I missed him when he visited LA a few years ago, so I'm planning to see him this time around.

Have you heard anything about him speaking on the east coast? I did a search and came up with nothing. That's wonderful you are going to have the opportunity to hear him speak!

While I was searching, I came across this article:

KFC is coming to Tibet. Words cannot express how sad this makes me feel.

naturallysteph - he came to Boston pretty recently, within the last year, I think? Sorry :(.

My friend thinks she spotted Richard Gere. Does he follow the Dali Lami wherever he goes?

Hee hee. Kind of. I hear Steven Segal does too, which is strange considering his line of work. In The Accidental Buddhist (a book I recommend to just about everyone), author Dinty Moore said that Segal looked uncomfortable and out of place when he saw him at a Dalai Lama lecture in Bloomington. Makes me curious, but I guess it's not my business.

Bummer about Boston. Oh well, there is always next year!
