i have tons of cds, and i'd like to display them on my wall: i'm sure you've all seen those sets of sleeves that urban outfitters or delias sells for $20. you put cd jackets in them and hang them on your wall.
i really want to do that, but i'm sure there's a way to make that sort of thing myself. i don't want to just pin the covers directly on the wall because i move a lot (college student) and i don't want to damage the goods, you know?
if anyone's made anything similar or has any ideas, i'd be uber grateful!

the only thing i could think of was getting a bunch of ziploc bags, putting the thingys in there, and then cutting off the ugly top part of the bag and sewing the whole thing together...time consuming? yes
expensive? no

hey, that could work... and they have those easy-zip bags w/ the colored zippers that don't look to bad, so i wouldn't have to cut those off...
nice!

clear shower curtains! get two, cut one up, use clear plastic-like thread to slap the pockets on....

By BuffaloRohm On 02/18/04

The shower curtains are a great idea, but i don't think that you even need to cut them up... why not just sew them together, making squares, then cutting just a big enough slit in the tops of the squares to fit the album art into?

Actually, I made a shower curtain last summer and tried to do it that way - I put two large pieces of clear vinyl together and just sewed "channels", then tried to slide postcards down into them. But the cards stuck to the vinyl and I had a hard time inserting them. Also, about six months later, moisture is starting to seep in (I guess through the seams?), and the cards are getting a little discolored.
