Hey y'all - So, I've decided that I'm going to do cool mix cds as favors for my wedding...but I want them to look good! Do y'all have any ideas for ways to make them look good? I've thought about just popping them in a glassine square and sealing it with a custom sticker with our names, whatever, but I can't find out where I could get one made! Anybody know, or have other ideas?

you can make paper/cardboard envelope cases with graphics/stuff on them

my husband and i made mix cds for our wedding invitations, using the booklet as the invitation card part. i bought this really gorgeous marbleized card stock, scanned in photos of me and my hubby, and designed the whole darn thing in Photoshop and then printed 'em out on the pretty paper! we got tons of compliments on them! good luck with yours!!! :)

that cd folding thing is great, but it made my head hurt when I automatically started translating the german in my head!

for my friend's wedding, she made mix cd's (well, had them made, with the date and their names and such on the top - I remember they weren't too expensive each) and put them in some little organza type bags she found online. I can't remember the site right now, but I'll search and see if I can find them.

get one what made, the envelope or the sticker?

For the sticker you could order address labels and change the text...or make your own on the computer.

for the envelope I'd do the 'petal envelope' which is a square shape the size of a cd, then it has half circles connected to each of the four square sides which fold down, you can overlap them so the envelope 'blooms' when you open it.

You know those plastic AOL cases that they send as freebies? They look like DVD cases... Anyway, I think those would look great with your own message put on the cover. You can just print them out and slip them in (it's like a clear portfolio cover).
But then again, I don't know how many you'll be giving away, or how many you could get your hands on... but it's a thought :)
