Does anyone know how you can wash cheapo-felt without it running dye? I made some cute applique designs and put them on t-shirts, but I don't want to sell them if they're going to make a mess. How should I tell people to wash them to care for them?

You should do a test by washing a piece sewn to a piece of whatever fabric you are using.

From my experience, the dye from my craft felt appliques hasn't bled into other fabric upon washing. It holds up pretty well, but to minimize any pilling or fuzziness, it's best to hand wash or at least run the items on a gentle cycle. I've never tried it, but I think putting items with felt appliques into a pillowcase before washing could help protect the felt.

Thanks! I'll say handwash and lay flat to dry. I figure, that should be safe, and then if they do something else and it screws up, it's not on me.
