I've never seen fly fishing mentioned here, but does anyone have any tips on tying your own fishing flys? My dad gave me a kit with all the clamps, spindles, feathers, thread, etc., but the book is really vague.

I've found web resources for BUYING flys, but not tying them. Do I need to look harder?

Also, my boyfriend fly-fishes and I think he has a book or two about fly-tying, I'll look aorund our house and see what I can find.
