Ok so I know everyone is sick of resin questions, but I can't help myself!

I finally got my un-used bottle caps for my resin project. I got out my resin and read the instructions and I am thinking that there is way too much room for error.

Before I came to Glitter and heard of Envirotex, I went to Fiberlay (great name eh?) and talked to a guy there about what I wanted to do. a half ounce of catalyst and a bottle of surface seal.

It says to add the catalyst to the resin in a 1% by volume ratio, or 1 tea. per pint at 77 degrees. Adjust the amount of catalyst up or down to compensate for the temperature :S

Needless to say this is stressing me out. Is all of this stuff this hard to work with, or did I find the hardest one? Has anyone used this particular brand before? Any advice would be appreciated!!

unfortuneately yes, it's that complicated.

i just bought resin and a catalyst today for the first time. I am so excited to get started but i too am weary. any web sites or info would be great. what are you planning to do with bottle caps?
Also, i live in an apartment with very little room. will i be ok if i just open my windows or do i really need to do this outside?

Splurge on a ventilator mask - it's in the paint aisle at Home Depot, get the ones for fumes not dust, costs about $30. Open the windows and point a fan out the window. Have a cardboard box to put over the finished project while it cures, so it doesn't get dusty.

Well I guess animegirlies statement says it all :)

I'm going to put pictures or tiny figures in the bottle caps along with some glitter, top it off with the resin and then attach them to a frame I'm making for my bathroom mirror.
