i read a post here a while back about someone who wanted to make an adult colouring book. does anyone know what happened to that person and their idea? im keen to purchase one and see the finished result...

Oh!!!

I have been so busy and missed so much! I would buy one of these too!Perhaps if this person doesn't turn up, we could do one?

I'm definitely adding this to my list of possible Christmas gifts to give...

Adult like dirty? Or just for grownups? I made one as Christmas gifts for friends last year. It was relatively easy- I just downloaded a ton of blank coloring pages from the internet, then printed/copied them all and had the whole mess bound at a copy place. It was really fun, but a bit time-consuming to find all the pictures. If you want unusual images, try Dutch/German/French sites.

hey jezabel....
i tried looking for some french, german, dutch coloring pages, because unusual coloring pages sounded really cool but couldnt find any.. any tips in the right direction?

thanks!

I remeber the post, but in the meantime... Some friends and I took photos of each other, then manipulated them on "PictureIt" to make a coloring book of ourselves! So much fun.

I'd really be interested in contributing some ALTERNATIVE COLORING pages if other people want to organize this thing!

thixle, that idea is so groovy! im stongly considering doing my own version for some xmas presents for friends this year.

i wonder if the person who had the idea originally has made her colouring book yet...

"PictureIt" is Microsoft PictureIt! Photo 2002... It's one of those programs where you edit photos, but it has "Illusions" that you can apply to the photos. For example: Stained glass, woodcut, and photocopy. The photocopy one makes oulines and looks like the coloring book pages. It works best when you are wearing heavily patterned clothes for the photo. I was wearing a tank top with butterflies all over and colored them all different :)

Thanks, thixle!!! You are a doll!!

you can use Adobe Photoshop too... I have an older version, but the photocopy filter works really well for making coloring pages out of photos.
