i desperately want to make some party lights like these <;http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3628353528&category=823>; , but how exactly do you get the bottle to work so that it screws and unscrews over the light sockets?
And on a side note, why do people charge so friggin much for shipping on ebay? my mom 2-day mailed me my entire winter wardrobe in a huge box, and it was only $7.50 via USPS... some people are just greedy!!

Wow, I'm not sure. At first glance I thought those were Christmas lights, but I dont know how you would do it with a regular socket. Unless you glued the bottle to the socket itself, not screw it on there. The person selling said that the bottles were mini bottles, so maybe they are Christmas lights.
If they are you could just cut a hole into a screw on lid and slide it over the light and glue it in place. Then screw on the bottles.
