I have a rather strangely sized, large (28"x11") portfolio book that needs a cool book cover. any suggestions on recipes, materials or other things to enhance the outside on the cheap?

It is part of what I submit to people for freelance gigs so it needs to be super sexy and totally pro.

thanks in advance,

B.

Oops, one more thing. The cover currently is 2 pieces of thick black poster board bound with a large, plastic, spiral comb. This is not very professional or cool looking and needs to be hidden.

Important detail to be sure.

Crochet one and slip it on! Uber-easy.

If you don't know how to crochet but like this idea, tell me what colors you'd like and I'll make it for you.
That size would run about $25.

Hope this helps!

Do you have a logo for your freelancing? That would be good to have on the cover, esp. if it's a really neat logo.

you could make a black fabric slipcover out of something durable (nylon?), and bind the edges and the spine with ribbon or an outdoor fabric. i've always been under the impression that portfolios should be black and plain and clean and boring and faintly technical, but you could make a slipcover out of something else if you disagree.
