Bumping the thread because I love it so...

I got a boring white half sized binder with the clear outside sleeves. I went to World Market and bought a largish gift bag with a pretty patten, and cut it up to fit in the sleeves. It looks very sophisticated now.

The amazing thing is how much other people enjoy my planner. Everyone at work wanted to look through it and fill out the crossword puzzles I clipped from the daily paper.

I bought the unbound version of the We'moon, and punched holes in it, use the Franklin monthly calenders, and created my own weekly menu plans, food diary, lists of books I've read and what I think of them, a bills sheet (which is easily the most usefull thing in the book- I can easily see what I've paid and when, and what I need to pay).

I've been using my planner as an abreviated diary, writing down the basics of my day, how many interviews I did and for what program, what meetings were like, and so on. It's colorfull and unique to me, and I love it. Who knew a dayplanner could be so much fun?

i made a planner for this year and i sewed my own binding by getting paper twice the size that i needed (lined, colored, photocopied template, etc.) and making tiny 5-10 page little books, basting up the fold, then lined two books up at a time, stitched them together, then added another little one, stitching it on, etc... the binding came out beautifully, and i can sew on another little book on when i need it. When i was done i took it to staples and they used an industrial paper cutter to make everything completely even and at nice right angles. for a heavy duty cover i bought a 10-cent book at a garage sale with a pretty cover, ripped out the pages and sewed it in (you can also hot glue it), then I made an elastic strap that is attatched to the back that goes around the whole thing, so i can stick loose pieces of paper in without them falling out... i hope this helps!

I wanna get in on the planner action!
I'm going to try and make one, with a pocket for my Palm, bound by Circa (I got the starter kit for Xmas), but how can you resize pages on Word to 4x6? I'm trying to make it that size because of the notecards that size, which I already use compulsively.

frenchkitty,

use the Page Setup function under the file menu in word to set your page to 4 x 6 inches.

Bump!
Did i ever send the old thread to the person that wanted it?!?!?!
Slap my wrists if i didn't

anyway, what i'm really posting for is, does anyone have a link to a good menstrual calendar? I've tried googling, but i just got loads of software and stuff.. I want a printable one..
either that, or does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to map this out?
Thanks

Not sure what you're looking for, but I use a business-card-sized 2004 calendar (freebie from a local eatery); I DOT the day I start, then SLASH the day I end. It's cheap, easy to store (mine's clipped to my monthly calendar page) and I can keep years at a time.

I used the calendar from my checkbook when I was in high school, because that shows multiple years as well, and I can see my "pattern" as it were.

I had some I bought from Filofax who make planners. I *think* I might just have thrown out the old one but if I can find it I'll scan it in and send it to you if, you want.

Edited to Add:
Here's the format the ones I had used: http://www.hotpens.com/permencal13.html

Thank you!
I can't see it too well on that pic, but i've saved it and will play around with it...
Did that sound ungrateful?
It wasn't meant to!

ETA... Whoever sent me the email requesting the old thread (sorry, don't know who you are on Glitter!).. I've just sent it, but have stupidly attched the current thread too... having a thick day obviously
If anyone else would like a copy of the old thread, just ask... it was very kindly sent to me by Figwit

If any of you need to print out monthly, weekly, or daily calendars, this site has pretty simple calendars that are sort of customizable...

Just thought it might help. I LOVE this thread, btw. Even though I'm not organized at all, I love reading about people that are :)

oh dear. now i am ridiculously obsessed with creating a travel planner for my upcoming trip to greece- what to pack, what to do, maps, ferry schedules, journal, etc.

earlier, much earlier in the post, someone asked where to find the binder spine/ring mechanisms. i SCOURED the internet today at work and finally found some at Tandy.com. they have the six hole/seven inch binder ring for 1.99. what a deal!!!

anyone made a leather planner? my dad has a lot of leather work experience, but wondering about weight/type of leather. gracias!

this was on the 8th page. How can it be?

bump.

Also, my planner is coming along. Even though it is *ahem* April. Yeah, all I've done so far is date the pages - in pen, no less - meaning that I now have four months of useless pages. Gee whiz.
