A friend in Japan sent me a big box of Japanese candy, cookies, etc. some time ago, and I saved all the wrappers and packaging b/c they look so darned cool. I'm trying to think of something crafty to do with all of them...decopauge is the obvious choice, but most of what I have to work with is plastic, so I'm not sure how well that would work. I'm looking forward to everyone's ideas!

depending on of the size of the wrappers ... I was thinking if they were more like cough drop size you could simply display then in an old ashtray or a jar on a shelf... kinda trashy yet fun. Just make sure your friends don't throw them away!

If you still wanna do something like decopauge what you can do is get some of that big clear tape (sorry i forgot what its called) and lay the wrappers face down and then leave room for just tape on both sides and then just put it on whatever it is. I'm not very good at describing things so let me know if you don't understand that and I'll try to describe it better!

You could press them between sheets of glass and then tape or seal the edges of the glass which could then be made in to shelfing or something fun. (could also be framed and be some really cool wallart!)

like coleenie said..look in this months living room on how they sandwiched photos and stuff between thick slices of plexiglass...VERY cool looking.

the tape comment gave me the idea of using clear packaging tape to stick them on things like stickers.. you can put them on things like wallets, notebooks, monitor (i put stickers around my monitor), etc. i do this as a wimpy decoupage.
