a while ago i read a bunch of stuff about marble magnets and thought they were absoultely wonderful, so recently i decided to take creative action. since i thought marble rings would be cool, i went to michaels and got flat glass marbles, aileen's glass glue, and keyrings that fit around my ring finger...keyrings because they didn't have any ring bases. (i now know that they're available at various places online, but since i'm lazy and stingy, i haven't bought them) anyways, i took my supplies home and cut out pretty magazine pictures, glued them to cardstock, and used aileen's to glue the pictures to the magnets. i then hot glued each marble to three keyrings. the result was surprisingly pretty and exciting, but i've discovered one major flaw after wearing my rings a few times: the marbles snap off the keyrings VERY EASILY. that irritates me. of course, its easily fixable with a glue gun, but i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions..

i'd say get some ring bases .. just cuz it has a flat back backing for the marbles flat back to lay on..

at http://www.beadwarehouse.com, i ordered 'um and they equal to only about .25 a base?

i use E6000 glue?

I would suggest *NOT* using Hot Glue for that project. It's too brittle and comes off easily, as you have discovered.
Micheals has clear silicone glue you can get for cheap, and it works very,very well. None of my marble magnets have fallen apart.
