The clear plastic ones with clear pockets, to put postcards or pictures, bathtoys or whatever. screw you, urban outfitters for $25! I'm gonna make my own. Has anyone done this before? I found instructions that describe using grommets. I have no idea how to go about this, or if special tools are needed. But what about my faithful friend the hot glue gun? Does anyone know if hot glue would somehow melt or steam off from being in the shower?

I have the one from urban outfitters and although it did cost a lot, it has held up extremely well ( I use shower curtain liners with it and I have had it for 2 years).

depending on what your style is, you could attatch the pockets with red duct tape or some other kind of waterproof tape. red would be my fav, but they have blue, green, yellow, black, white, and of course.....silver!

I would stitch it with a big, tough needle in a sewing machine, use some type of plastic epoxy, or use the grommets. I don't think that hot glue would work very well UNLESS it melted the plastic because it doesn't really hold together non-porous substances too well, like slick plastic. If you put toys in it, it will also be more likely to fall apart. I imagine to insert grommets you would use a larger version of an eyelet tool. I also imagine you could buy one wherever you could buy grommets.

I don't think hot glue is a good idea - it probably would melt sooner or later. I think superglue is your safer bet. But even better would be stitching pockets on with sewing machine - use strong needle (such as for leather) and one of those plastic-y threads. That would probably work best, I think.
