Topic scratched sunglasses? Go to previous topic Go to next topic Go to higher level

By susan*s On 06/03/01

Yesterday at an estate sale I bought some cute old jackie o sunglasses for $1.50. When I got outside I discovered that the lenses are scratched. I'm sad! Is there any way to polish or smooth scratches? I feel like i've heard about some kind of gel or gluey stuff for fixing watch faces that are scratched.
Help!

ive heard that if you take a toothbrush and rub some toothpaste on a scratched watchface it will get rid of the scratches, but ive never actually tried it.....and i dont know if it would work on glasses but hey, it cant hurt....

They have stuff for scratched cds, I don't know if it'd work but it might be worth a shot.

check the grocery/drug store or a glasses shop for the lens-scratch filler pencil thing. does anybody know what i'm talking about? i'm being unspecific as usual... i see them all the time in the "impulse purchase" display in the check-out aisle at the grocery shop... hope this helps!
