i live in beaufort, sc, and boy, does it suck! where are you at?

I'm in Columbia!! I've never been to Beaufort. What do you guys do there for fun?

not much. there isn't anything here at all. i just moved here a year ago, so i don't have very many friends here. "very many" amounts to one, and she's my roommate, so it's not like a real friendship. we're just living together because it's convenient.

so really, i'm all alone in a new town, with nothing to do here. usually i go to savannah for fun about once a month... but that's not very interesting either.

Why don't you ever come to Columbia? Did you move to Beaufort for a job?

i moved here when my parents did. it's kind of a long story. my dad's in the military and we all lived in japan. when they moved to south carolina, i could't stay in japan without a lot of hassle (and my military dependent status expired when i turned twenty one anyway), and i had nowhere else to go. sooo... now i work at publix, with plans to go to florida at the end of the year. i don't want to be bored out of my mind until then though.

i think columbia's like an hour and a half away. i don't have much free time, but one of these days i'll make it there. even if it's just to look around and check out the scene. anything is better than beaufort!

You should! Columbia's pretty fun, but you really have to search for things to do. And it's much better when USC is out. The traffic and the parking aren't nearly as bad.
