HOW CAN I GET RID OF IT??

red nail polish on a white button up shirt with thin blue stripes. i feel absolutely terrible.

I've spilled red nail polish on a blue carpet before, and nail polish and scrubbing did get it to come up. (Surprising me by not eating the carpet fiber.)

What did the polish spill on?

My sister spilt a bottle of red nail polish on our carpet once and my mom used nail polish remover to get it up.

Yes! That's what I meant to say! Nail polish *remover*. More nail polish wouldn't help you much. (:

I'm posting again, because I was going through some of my sewing pamphlets and I found this snippet about removing nail polish:

"Place the stained area over a pad of clean,dry cloth and gently rub with a piece of cotton soaked in acetic acid or acetone. (Note that these must not be used on acetate fibers-if the fabric contains acetate fibers,use amyl acetate on the stain.) Wash as usual."
