shrinky dinks!! I have been wanting to make some lately, but the people at both the craft store & Toys R Us looked at me like I was crazy.

Do you know where to find the shrinky dink paper?

Did you try indie toyshops? I sure some craft/toy/hobby shop has got to carry one, even if it is 'barbie's pin shop'... *L*

this probably isn't what you want, but i know that Walmart has the DIY pins that are plastic with the pin on the back, and you put your pictures / etc inside and clip it shut (if you see one you'll know). they're like a dollar i think, probably less for one. plus they can be reused, OR you could super glue it shut and it would work forever.

hope that helps.

Hi there,
If you ever find yourself with, say, that $200 in spare cash (heheh), one of the expensive machine companies is Badge-A-Minit. Or at least it was in the early 90's, when my mother was going to buy one...

You can find cheaper versions of Badge-A-Minit...the $200 ones are used to make buttons for fund-raisers and the like. But the starter kits are much cheaper. They have a website (badgeaminit.com) and they also sell quite a few of them on Ebay. I think I got mine for about $25. This didn't include the button parts, though, which will run you about $20 more for 100 buttons and button backs. I think it's worth it though.

if you want a lot of buttons, and you want the 1" pinback kind [sounds like it] many indie sites do 100 buttons for about 20 bucks, that includes postage costs. theyll make whatever the hell you want. i think stickerguy.com does them and also look at kosmos.net/truth.

Ya, if you break down and have them made I use this chick-a-dee and she does great work...
