Does anyone know where I can buy inexpensive mirrors for crafting? Preferably with a wooden frame to decorate and not too small, at least 6" width/diameter. Many thanks in advance, I have looked everywhere!

If you don't mind a plastic frame, you could always get locker mirrors in the school supply section just about anywhere.

Ikea. I personally own mirrors that have a 3inch thick green wooden frame and I've seen them in unfinished wood. Plus, I think they were a dollar or two.

This may be a pain in the ass, but you can buy mirror tiles at the hardware store, then cut to size and put them in thrifted frames.

Dollar stores. The one here has ones like picture frames for $2.00.I think it's called Dollar Tree?
Or those Japanese(sp?) toy stores in the malls.

Thanks for the help guys! I checked the Ikea site and the cheapest mirror I found was about $30. Is the Japanese store you are talking about (DeborahM) called Sanrio?

Ikea, ikea, ikea. Those mirrors that ali mentioned are the bomb. They cost $1-3 (not sure), have a small square mirror in the center of a frame that's about 3" wide. SO perfect for crafting...I just used one to make a mosaic mirror and it came out great.

Get thee to an Ikea, or send a friend on a mission for you.

The Ikea site usually only lists a small percentage of what they actually sell. Same for the catalog. You definitely have to go there.

Yeah deffinatly have to actually go to the (IKEA)store, they don't list anything compared to what they actually have!

Nope not Sanrio(they are so expensive I won't even buy my nieces stuff there!)THey're like mom and pop stores but usually have stuff manufactured from all parts of Asia, like cheep umbrellas, cheep cheep dishes, candles, and lots of plastic toys.I'm sure you've got to have one!

Hey, also re using pressed powder compact mirrors might be doable depending on the craft.
