I just have to share: working in a craft store you see some people coming in with some crazy ass projects they want to do.

My personal fave recently was this woman who came in the other night, bought about 50 skeins of embroidery floss and then proudly showed me the pictures in her wallet (that she carried around like she actually knew him) of some skeevy fabio-looking guy who must have either been a porn star or on a soap opera, one of which she was turning into a big cross-stitch portrait for her living room.....hehehehe.she cracked me up.

That by FAR beat the "paint it yourself" plaster kittens or the "praying hands" paint by number kits. Or the creepy boy who needed stick-tac to create stands for his star wars figure collection (He had over 200 and it was a real pain to stand them all up again when they fell over ;).

No, katico, this thread does have a purpose. It has confirmed my worst fears about the other people shopping in the crafts stores!!! And it's making me wet my pants laughing. All I can imagine is a wallet lovingly crammed full of Ron Jeremy pictures

The people you see at the grocery store obsessing over getting just thr right eggplant are usually either food stylists or painters. I had that experience when I was searching for just the right habanero pepper for my drawing class.
