I live with my uncle who smokes Salems that come in pretty green boxes. Anyone have any cute craft ideas I could use the empty boxes for? I dont want to leave the salem logo on it though, cause I dont smoke myself and I dont want people to think I'm promoting it. The only crafty idea I've thought of so far is making oragami stars, once I figure out how to make those, lol.

Back in the early 1900's U.S. there was this thing called tramp art. hobos and tramps would travel the rails while making intricate art work out of common items such as matchsticks, cigar boxes and cigarette packs. Do a searct for tramp + art + cigarette and see what comes up. (I'm at work or I'd do it for you.) Here's one pic I found-

Didn't find much to use them for in the way of tramp art. I think that's mostly for the wood boxes. I did see a site on making paper beads, which is somthing I could do. http://familycrafts.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http://users.hsonline.net/kidatart/htdoc/lesson5.htm
