Does anyone make their own craft molds out of silicone or rubber? Is this hard to do?

i dont, but my aunt who is a sculptor uses a silicone mold to mold dolls in resin. she had the mold professionally made, and i dont know if your average home crafter has access to the mold matrials. and also, using the mold was such a pain in the ass she now has it done by a pro.

the Rio Grande supplies catalog for metal workers sells silicon mold equipment, but i do believe you need special machines to use it.
