hey can anyone out there tell me how to reapply a zipper to a pair of jeans where the original broke and also can u tell me if it is possible to attach a zipper to a pair of jeans that originally were button fly? | |

just rip the old zipper off (with a seam ripper) and sew the new one in, on the same lines. you might need to slide it in between layers of fabric, depending on the type of jeans. i would hand-sew it, since sewing zippers in by machine in that type of situation is hateful. | |

Speaking of zippers, any idea for a really loose zipper? I have my favorite pair of jeans that the zipper falls down every time I sit down (they're not tight on me, they're actually loose), and I have no intention of replacing the zipper (too lazy). Any ideas?? | |

The first thing that occured to me is that if you fasten a smaller safety pin just below the zipper pull once they are zipped up it will keep it from sliding down. | |
