So I really like the look of dickies pants, you know with the slit pockets in the back and everything...

What I'm wondering is if any of you knows a cheapish source to get them whether it be online or not. I looked at pac sun this morning and found some but for $38.....

hm.. i have a pair of those in dark denim. i know that dickies actually have a website but i'm not sure if you can order online or not.

do you live in canada? i got mine at a "skateshop" chain called West 49. but they might just be in ontario. they were.. either $39 or $49 i can't remember. but that's canadian currency.

local skateshops would probably carry them too. i'd say check those out for sure.

edited to say: oh yes. and just to clarify, the ones i have are for girls. if you want the guy ones (like.. workpants) you can get some at discount stores like walmart (i think?). i just assumed you were looking for the girl ones. those are the ones i have.

That's kind of funny that skate shops sell them. When I was in jr. high school and highschool, the only place you could get them was Target , Venture or Grandpa's (another lower level discount chain) and to admit that ou wore clothes from those places as social suicide!

Of course now things are different.

I get mine at Fiesta grocery store in Texas...they are around $15 a pair

If there are any hispanic neighborhoods in your area, i'd say check there for "work pants"

also check army surplus or work clothes stores. i got my dickies overalls at the surplus for super cheap. of course, that was 800 years ago and as someone said above things were different then. :)

i found the two pair that i really really wanted..... but damn, they are frickin expensive, i sure as hell don't want to pay $100 more or less for two frickin pairs of pants...... augh.

but that site was EXACTLY what i was looking for!
now i just have to battle with myself if i can bear to spend that much money or not..... hmmmmmm.... * think think think*..... thing is i *might* actually do it but then the shipping.....eh....

Kmart usually carries the boy kind. But only in navy, khaki, black, and sometimes deep green. I believe they are about $18.00 a pair or less. They also have shorts.

You may want to give it a try.

I really like the look of the cropped Dickies Girls pants. I wanted cropped pants, but I hated all the ones I had seen until I tried on the Dickies. I tried them on but never bought them because of the $$. One day I'll give in.

Oh, I bet the Dickies Girls shorts would make me happy too, as well as their cute skirts and dresses. Oh, but the $$$.

Try the guy ones at Kmart but only if you have a 'lil ass. DEFINITELY not made for the rumba-zoomba of us with plentitude in the hips and asscheeks.

That's exactly what I hate! I want a pair of the plaid ones and the gangster stripe but do they have them in the size I need? NO! I'm sorry but that just annoys me so much. It's like their saying 'Sorry but your too big for our clothes and we don't want you wearing them!'

i forgot to mention there's a lot of cute dickies on ebay. i don't know about butts but i have a chubby belly and the juniors' low rise waist fits really nice, better than any of my other pants. you could try the womens' sizes too. i think the ones at kmart are mens.

... I had no idea Dickies had gone FASHION! When we wore their clothes they were strickly utilitarian work clothes.
We were cool and didn't even know it.
They are owned (or at least used to be) by a local family - we were all friends in school.

They used to have great work gloves and boots too.
I loved to embroidery on their denim and chambray shirts and overalls.

God, I remember when Dickies used to be cheap as hell. Then they got trendy and prices zoomed skyrocket high.

I always bought mine at the Army Surplus stores. They used to sell the men's pants and overalls for $15-$25. Now you won't find a pair cheaper than $35. They're starting to sell the chick's pants there too, but they're also rather pricey. Unless you buy the men's workpants from some obscure little out-of-the-way store, I don't think you'll find them for much cheaper than $30.

But they're so damn cute, the material is really flattering, and the color's are so kick-ass!

starxduzt, i know what you mean - i *really* want those low rider plaid pants, but noooooo.

that said, i used to buy my dickies at wal-mart, the only place i could find them, for $16. (eta: those were men's utility denim pants) i haven't checked in a few years, so i don't know if wal-mart has caught on to the whole dickies-as-fashion thing. maybe worth a try.

just a little something that bugs me: there's one model on the web site who just gets on my nerves. the one who looks like she she's posing for a cosmo shoot, with her shirt all tied up around her tits. i'd like to slap her. maybe it's just me. heh.

well i know that the pair of girl dickies that i have fit BIG. i'm usually a size 5/6 and these are size 3 and are STILL big.

yeah, i did check ebay but right now they don't have much up.... but i DID find a hot topic store near me that sells them, so i'm going to check them out either today or tomorrow after work.. plus online the courderoy pair said they were onsale for $18.98 ! woo! i hope that means they're on sale in the actual store too though...hmmm.....

I just tried on a pair of dickies girl courdaroys at Urban Outfitters because they were on sale for $14.99. I got them on, and just died laughing! the crotch was SOOOOOOO short, it was unbelievable. They were trying to be all ultra super mega low rise. Now I know whay they were 14.99. So just watch out for those.
