hey everyone, thought it was time for a new adult swim discussion, since it's been awhile and they've shown new shows.
for those of you who don't know what adult swim is, it's a block of adult cartoon programming on cartoon network. and it's friggin' hilarious. it's on 10pm-1am sunday nights. there is also an anime adult swim on saturday nights.

so what does everyone think of mission hill? i was sort of wary of it, but i've yet to be disappointed. every episode just gets better. the real world one had us rolling on the floor. and i love the gay neighbors. the gruff one is just so sweet.
they're showing a new harvey birdman on july 7th, which i can't wait for. we downloaded the other 2 and watch them all the time. i really wish they would make more new shows. sealab, aqua teens, brak, home movies - they ALL need new eps. i don't mind watching reruns, but i've seen them all a jillion times. the only home movies i haven't seen more than 3 times is "starboy and the captain of the universe", and it's one of my favorites.
they did throw us a couple of bones with a few new braks and sealabs awhile ago, but still... the brak ep with the bully that beat up zorak was quite good. "here friend, let me offer you a complimentary drawing of yourself as a carrot!"
the new sealab with the cast just hanging out on the set was funny, but probably my least favorite episode. i liked stimutacs much better. my new catchphrase - "it's like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain!" so cute, yet so raunchy.
and i truly wish space ghost would do more eps with actual almost-plots. like the one with old kentucky shark and the documentary. even my favorite ep, knifin' around, had an almost-plot. bjork played his wife and kept interuppting him and the way they cut her interview was just so funny. if it hadn't been so blatantly cut all to hell, it would have seemed like they were making fun of her, but the way it was done made it right. frankly though, i'm getting sick of these episodes where space ghost does nonsensical things and the show has no flow. just acting like a dumbass for no good reason won't get you real laughs. and the interviews could stand a little changing. all he ever does is ignore the guest now, which is boring. and they get guests that don't really seem to know how to react to him. then again, he's kind of hard to react to sometimes.
other stupid gripes - i want more of these random cartoons, like the redone yogi and jetsons. now THAT'S entertainment. and other new ones like welcome to eltingville, or saddlerash and lewis lectures. well, honestly i could live without more eltingvilles or lewis lectures, but i definitely want to see more saddlerash. that stupid armless cowboy was great.
as for the aqua teens, i will never have a complaint about them. i could watch reruns everyday (and i do sometimes...) and never get bored. they're all just brilliant, in my opinion.
ok, discuss!
