hah, She-Ra was great!!

I *adore* She-Ra! Definitely my first feminist. She may wear pink, but she still kicks ass. Princess of Power, yeah!

I just thought of the perfect Wonder Woman! (And I really have been giving this a lot of thought, which is pretty sad.) Jennifer Connelly.

rumors about the wonder woman movie:

i like wonderwoman too, but i've really taken a liking to hawkgirl in the new justice league series. she's just so badass. in one ep they were sent to a sort of parallell-universe-in-the-50's place and met up with their counterparts. (catman, the streak, the green guardian...). anyways, the chick there (black siren) was very much a 50's woman. they all started to talk business and she said "let's let the men talk". hawkgirl looked sort of pissed and said "they can talk about whatever they want!" and didn't move an inch. (she ended up playing along and going in the kitchen to make cookies just to appease lantern. it was funny though, not degrading.)

she-ra didn't wear pink though: her outfit was white and gold, wasn't it?

Princess Adora, her "I'm She-ra in disguise" counterpart, wore some pink "I Dream of Jeannie" kind of rag. And she did ride a (male) pink horse with rainbow wings.

I used to collect Black Canary comics, before they stopped printing them. Black Canary rocks.

She - Ra is my favorite...I was her for Halloween 2 years ago...

Oh yeah, Elf Chick, I'm happy to see I have a fellow Sailor Moon fan here :) I just won the first 4 issues of the SM manga on Ebay... WOO!

don't really have any superwomen to add, except I think She-Ra wore light blue and gold...I don't really remember, will have to go pull out the old action figures.

I'd like to give a shout out to Electro Woman and Dyna-girl...hahahaha, that show was so cheezy!
|

Tank Girl (Lori Petty) or Jet Girl in 'Tank Girl' so they weren't super heros, but they were sure great heroines. Saving the world from the evil water utility is a heroine in my book. Plus she dressed way cool. I so want to be Tank Girl for Halloween.

thank you elemental! Electro-woman and Dyna girl was my favorite!

Jennifer Connelly would be a great WonderWoman, but she got rid of two kind of essential things for the part - her breasts! Did anyone else notice how scrawny, bony and flat her chest was in the chiffon dress at the Oscars? Jennifer Connelly used to have the largest breasts in Hollywood! Remember "The Rocketeer"???? What happened? I know there's such a thing as breast reduction but I found her flat, striated, stretched sternum-revealing chest kind of scary.

I was going to post the same thing about Jennifer Connelly - she appears to have lost her gorgeous, voluptous figure. Even last year in Pollock she was so curvy.

I WAS Tank Girl for Halloween! Of course, this was back in junior high and most people had no idea who I was supposed to be, since I was one of the 10 people who ever even saw that movie. But I loved it so. The soundtrack was great, too.

I don't know if anyone else is familiar... but all the gals in the Bubblegum Crisis series kick major ass! I'm so jealous of my brother's DVD collection!

The Mis-Fits from Jem were way cooler than Jem's tin pot backing band.

I totally agree about the Jeane suggestion. She was so cute as the Bowler. And yes Trinity should have her own movie sequel.
