Dear Ally Fans,

I keep all Ally episodes on tape and have recently been trying to dub them in order. I have found, much to my chagrin, that I'm missing quite a few. If you have any of the following on tape and would be willing to send me a copy, write me at rebelprincessguild@hotmail.com so we can work out the details:

1st season...
#003 (1.03) "The Kiss"
#004 (1.04) "The Affair"
#009 (1.09) "The Dirty Joke"

2nd season...
#040 (2.17) "Civil War"

3rd season...
#057 (3.11) "Over The Rainbow"
#061 (3.15) "Prime Suspect"
#065 (3.19) "Do You Wanna Dance"
#066 (3.20) "Hope & Glory"

Sorry, I only have some of them as video files for the computer, not VHS. I'd say wait for repeats on TV, but it looks like they're going with Season 4. Oh well, good luck on your quest.

Are those video files entire episodes? Could you please tell me where you got them? I've been looking all over the web and I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :)

I make them. I have a TV card in my computer and can record the Ally episodes right onto file. The files are extremely big, though, which is the only problem. I doubt the Web would have anything to offer in terms of episodes--the video era on the Web is still currently a bit weak.

Hey, would you be able to send some episodes to me through email??

By UMass fan On 08/18/01

Unfortunately, no, they're too big. They can, however, be put onto a CD--two episodes fit onto one CD.

I've been looking for a while, too. But all I found are full Episodes from Star Trek:Voyager, Friends, Simpsons and Futurama.(I found them on Morpheus) So I think I have to wait till fall to see the 4th Season here in Germany :-(

Are you in the UK? If you canget access to E4 then you can get the 1st series ones cuase they're rerunning the 1st series just now and The Kiss is on tomorrow night.

You could check out www.ally-mcbeal.co.uk cos they sell all the boxed sets of series one and two and give info on when series three will be available to buy. Of course tis only works if you are in the uk or maybe if you are willing to pay extra (in pounds of course)

Yeah. If you're in America, for instance, you'd need to buy a PAL compatible vcr (in case you didn't know, different regions of the world use different video formats. This complicates things! But the 2 most common formats are PAL and NTSC). Hmm.. your best bet is probably a multi-system vcr that can handle both PAL and NTSC tapes, because a PAL vcr is just no good unless you either have a video converter thingy or a PAL tv as well!

At any rate it would be expensive, and though I'm a big enough fan to appreciate spending so much money just to enjoy all the episodes, I think I'll wait. Rumor is that the FX network will begin showing Ally McBeal reruns in syndication towards the end of September. Yes, that would mean you can get your DAILY dose of Ally! So I'm holding out for that. I just hope the rumor is true! I emailed the FX network 5 times asking for confirmation, but I never got a response :(

I wouldn't doubt the rumor though. After all, Fox owns the FX network. Does anyone know for sure? I'm anxious to fill in the gaps to my collection!

I'm positive ally's (as well as the practice) coming to FX this fall (i think september 24th, I'm not sure though) I've seen the commercials. Evidently, they'll start with the pilot episode, and air 5 nights a week...i can't wait!

By Fishisms On 08/03/01

Yeah, I'm eager to see the Practice in syndication as well :) Actually, I don't have FX. I just have basic cable.. But if you say you've seen commercials for it coming, that's enough confirmation for me!! I will be getting extended cable just for that, hehe. Oh yeah, cartoon network and comedy central, too. That would be nice :)

I just checked FX's website and saw the schedule, and it said Ally McBeal would start on Sep. 3. 8pm E/P, M-F, followed by The Practice.

Yuppie!
