How did Bosco know that Hobart was going to commit suicide after he dropped something. I've seen the episode twice and can't figure it out. Help!!!

well...bosco just said that he dropped the "clip" i think thats what he said;sounded like it anyway! about the whole suicide thing....not really sure,cause i watched the eppy several times and still dont know! ~Hollie~

Hobart knew he was in trouble with the department cause of beating his ex-wife etc. He dropped the clip out of the gun which still leaves one bullet engaged in the chamber. He would never kill Bosco he was one of the ones he trusted. So why not kill yourself off and still have your 'good' reputation in the squad from the past. he was gonna kill himself to save the embarassment of being indited. Thats why he knew where all the snipers where. And as soon as he pointed the gun at Boscos head he knew they would shoot him. hope this helps jen!:)
