So what grade is Dawn in, anyway? Her first year, I think she was in 8th grade (I can't remember if I figured it out via clues or if it was actually stated somewhere). That means last season she would have been in 9th. That stands to reason as she sings "I'm fifteen" in Sweet's song in "Once More, With Feeling"... so she's either in 9th or 10th grade. This season in the first episode it seemed like she was going to her first year of high school... and I think they actually refer to her being a freshman... but I thought if your middle school went to 9th grade, you still called the 10th grade your sophomore year... am I wrong about that? I don't know because the district I attended and the district I teach include 9th grade in the high school, so forgive me if I'm wrong.
Just confused as all get out. And where was she going before this, if she WAS in h.s.? And what happened to her friend and that boy she was chatting up the day she found out her mom died?
