Topic Tonight's episode (4/9/02)

I have to say that I loved tonight's episode. Partly because it seems like I haven't seen a new episode in so long, but mostly because I loved the way the showed Lorelei and her mother's relationship in a rare time of closeness and understanding. I also loved the interaction between Paris and Rory. Sometimes I hope they become friends, but it's fun to see them despise each other one minute then and come to each other's rescue the next. They're also playing out this Jess-Rory-Dean triangle very well. Very subtle, yet very exciting ;)!

I definitely have to agree with you. It does seem like a very long time since there has been a new episode. This why i love this show. There are so many storylines that are interesting. I love this evolving new relationship that Lorelai is now having with her parents, especially with her mother. It is interesting to see how they are both learning to become more open-minded with their stern stereotypes of each other. It was definitely nice to see them acting more like friends and adults. And it was very touching and somewhat brave of her mother to ask Lorelai why they don't have the kind of relationship she has with Rory. I like that Lorelai is finally growing up and not blaming her parents so much. I am also intrigued by this new side to Paris. She seems to be too driven by Harvard dream that she doesn't have any friends. And so it was really nice to see her stick up for Rory with Dean. And i am also beginning to be interested in this triangle with Rory/Dean/Jess. I was loving their conversation over their food. I think that there is this depth to Jess that Rory sees that no else gets to see. Which is definitely attractive, plus i don't think Dean and Rory have that kind of connection that Rory seems to be developing with Jess. I think that is where the chemistry lies. It is more there than with Dean, I am sorry to say, since i think that Dean is definitely a hottie. I do miss Lorelai and Michel interacting. I love him. Hopefully there will be more of him and also I would love to see Lorelai interacting with her father as well. hmmm... this show has so many interesting possiblities in the storylines... no wonder i love this show!
