Topic Lorelai and Christopher

I like these two together and make a real shot at working things out. Christopher has really grown up since the last time he was in Stars Hollow and I hope that Lorelai has too. I have to admit that I agree with Lorelai's mother on this one. They should be together. Or at least make a serious attempt at it. And i have a hunch that Christopher also was trying to make Lorelai a little jealous as well; just to see what her reaction would be because he didn't tell her that his girlfriend was coming along. Does anyone else agree with me? OR am i just being a sucker for unrequited love again???

Even if you are being a sucker for unrequited love, it's OK. I do it all the time. I think they make a good couple too, and I don't think he and this "girlfriend" seem very good together. The only thing is that I still like Luke. But maybe Luke and Lorelai are just friends, I don't know. I do love the show though.

Hey! Thats what I thought. I still prefer her with Luke though. But here in Aus we still haven't finished the first season, so I'll get back to you!

I am not sure what i think about Luke. I love his character and all its quirkiness and it is quite obvious that he has feelings for Lorelai. But does she have feelings for him too? Maybe but i think that she still has some serious feelings for Christopher. Why else would she call him at before her wedding? She didn't call Luke. And who did she hook up with when she was on a "break" with Max? Christopher. So i think it would be very interesting to see how this storyline would turn out. And i really don't like his girlfriend. She was too pushy. hmmm Luke. I think that he and Lorelai do think and talk on the same wavelength and that's a great friendship, but is there more to that? i think that i wouldn't want to explore that just now. and i really liked these changes in Lane. Nice touch that she had the perfect boyfriend and still didn't get to present him to her mother. It is interesting to see her interacting with her mother as well. A parallel to Lorelai's past life, but Lane is not so disrespectful to her mother's wishes. I think it shows some insight to the Asian/old-world/old-fashion culture. I grew up with that as well, although i admit, it wasn't that bad. i guess i am really really enjoying this show. =)

Yeah, I went through a "Lorelai has to get back with Christopher" kinda stage when he first showed up in the first season. He seemed to have great chemistry with her. But he seems like one of those guys that doesn't stick around, thats why I prefer Luke.

Amazing. I've been reading the two posts posted by me in this topic, and I'm going "Did I actually say that?". For some reason I am now totally over the whole Lorelai Luke thing and the Lorelai Max thing. BRING ON CHRISTOPHER!!! I think it seems like the best thing... Also, what happened to MAx after she cancelled the wedding?

Yup, I am very excited to read in the Previews that Christopher is going to be popping up again at the end of the season. I think that their relationship needs to be explored. Lorelai has really grown this season in her relationship with her mother and daughter, so it would definitely be interesting if this growth can also translate into a serious relationship with Christopher as well. And look at him, he had also grown up alot since the beginning of the show so maybe it is time for us to see them together. And especially since i am a firm believer in FATE and DESTINY! Hmm... Max... I recall that he was supposed to be teaching a summer class in Toronto and that they were supposed to get married after that. Maybe he is still there since Lorelai did do the breakup over the phone... Ummm that was immature as well i think...

I haven't seen much of the second season yet, but yes, cancelling off an engagement and breaking up a relationship over the phone does seem a bit immature. But then Lorelai is a bit immature, in a good way. I'd really like Christopher to get together with Lorelai...but they seem to be building up the chemistry between Luke and Lorelai so much. That means that probably at the end of the show (When it eventually comes) it will be Luke and Lorelai together, not Lorelai and Chris. Oh, and Chris is so much more better looking than Luke or Max! :)

Oh gosh yes.... Christopher is such a hottie, although Luke does have that working-man hunk look, and then there is Max, the smart, intelligent-but-not-a-geek look. I am wondering though, Chirstopher and Lorelai have that certain connection, both rebelling from a privileged upbringing, could they ever break away from each other to have a serious relationship with other people? I am definitely excited to see Christopher pop up soon!
