I thought I noticed that Stockard Channing was NOT in the opening credits as usual. I hope I am wrong! Has she left the show?

I am pretty sure that she has not left the show. I know that everyone but me probably knows the answers to this question - what happened to Danny? I loved his banter with CJ and seem to have missed why he is no longer around?

Stockard Channing did not leave the show. She just doesn't appear in the opening credits of episodes that she's not in.

I assume the actor who plays Danny, Timothy Busfield, has been busy with other projects, such as appearing on and directing episodes of Ed.
